Around 10,000 black cab taxi drivers are protesting around Central London today at 2pm over the licensing of über app.
It is thought the protest will bring London to a standstill and could cost businesses millions.
Uber are a cab firm whose app works out how much you will pay for a journey based on your location and where you want to go.
Black cab taxi drivers are arguing that the use of this app constitutes to the company using a metre which, they argue, should only be for black cabs and not for minicabs/private hire vehicles.
What good publicity for uber as they have just seen an increase of 850% of their app downloads in the last 24hours!
